Ted cruz – houston, $1.5 million
Ted Cruz has served for the Texan interest for most of his career, and he has also made sure to live among his people. So his residential property located in one of the posh neighborhoods of Houston is indeed an attraction. The lawmaker shares his three-story mansion with his wife and two daughters. Ted purchased this property built in the ’40s for a substantial amount of $1.5 million.
Moreover, the American politician spared no expense in renovating the place to suit his liking. The five-bedroom abode boasts a spacious garden with a dedicated BBQ area. Apart from the stunning outdoors, the junior Senator’s home also has a fancy indoor with two walk-in closets, office space, and a game room.
Mike pence – indianapolis, $1.93 million
During his time as Vice-President, Mike Pence spent most of his time in Washington DC, living in accommodation provided by the government. Nonetheless, he has left those days behind and currently lives in a luxurious abode in Indiana. The politician and his wife’s seven-bedroom mansion situated at the outskirts of the state cost them about $1.93 million.
Mike’s 10,300 square feet home spreads over five acres of land overlooking a pond is equipped with all the amenities many of us desire. It looks like the lawmaker has moved back to his roots and has indeed found a perfect place to relax after he left the vice presidency.
George bush – texas, undisclosed amount
We will not be surprised if George W. Bush thinks his home is some kind of “sanctuary” because it looks like a vacation spot. No wonder he went there to unwind while he was in office. Called Prairie Chapel Ranch, the property is enormous with 1,600 acres of land. The one-story limestone house, reminiscent of homes in the 1950s and 1960s, has three bedrooms.
Aside from the main structure, there is a two-suite guesthouse that probably accommodates Bush’s children and grandchildren whenever they visit. Some amenities on the property are the three-shaded swimming pool and bike trail. The former head of state hosts a cycling event at his ranch called the W100K every year for wounded veterans.
Bernie sanders – vermont, $575k
As the longest-serving independent senator in the United States, Bernie Sanders is a familiar face in American politics. Although he’s a well-known congressman, Sanders is also a proud owner of three homes across the country. His properties are all stunning, but we have to say the one in Vermont stands out from the pack.
With a price tag of $575,000, his Vermont house comes with four bedrooms, and it sits in front of a sandy white beach that’s only a few steps away. The scenic view alone truly justifies the property’s value, and we think Sanders is fortunate to call this residence his own!
Pete buttigieg – capitol hill, $3k
Ever since Pete Buttigieg took the reins as the Secretary of Transporation, he has relocated to Washington DC. Yet, he hasn’t purchased a house of his own and lives in a rented apartment with his husband, Chasten Buttigieg. The couple scored a good deal on the rent when they signed a long-term lease with the owner.
Pete and his better half reside in an 800-square feet one-bedroom apartment in a posh neighborhood in Capitol Hill. It must certainly be hard for Pete and his spouse to adjust to life in the country’s capital, as the politician once owned a luxurious mansion in South Bend.
